The City of Blue Springs applauds Jake Farrell for earning the International Code Council’s Master Code Professional designation, the highest level of Code Council certification, and the “gold standard” for demonstrating proficiency in the code profession. Farrell joins an elite group of Master Code Professionals worldwide whose achievements continue to benefit the code enforcement profession and their community.
“Jake’s achievement of the esteemed Master Code Professional designation will not only accelerate his career, but it will also help the City of Blue Springs advance our mission of creating a healthy, livable and sustainable community through enhanced quality of life for residents and visitors,” said Mike Mallon, director of Community Development. “The Codes Administration division will benefit greatly from Jake’s expertise, commitment and leadership.”
To earn the Code Council MCP designation, a candidate must pass 10 core ICC exams plus several elective Code Council exams. Typical Master Code Professionals hold 17 or more Code Council certifications. The Master Code Professional designation requires certified individuals to complete an additional 60 hours of Continuing Education Units every three years to remain active.
The Master Code Professional certification is the pinnacle of all ICC certifications, representing a level of effort, knowledge, and dedication that elevates not only the individual achieving it but the code official profession,” said Code Council Chief Executive Officer Dominic Sims, CBO.
