The City of Blue Springs is alerting motorists of a road closure on Duncan Road from 6thTerrace to Missouri 7 Hwy starting on Monday, July 8 for a roadway reconstruction. This closure is anticipated to last until July 22, 2019.
Traffic traveling west on Duncan Road should detour on Adams Dairy Road to Roanoke Drive. Traffic traveling east on Duncan Road should take 7 Hwy to Roanoke Drive. Local through traffic from 7 Hwy traveling north can use Club Drive to Duncan Road. Use of Adams Dairy Parkway for access to and from I-70 is also an option to avoid the congestion during peak periods.
This section of Duncan Road from 7 Hwy to 6thTerrace has had many issues and this work will completely repave and reconstruct the roadway on that portion of the intersection. Superior Bowen Asphalt Company has been selected as contractor on this project. The road will be closed for approximately two weeks.
