[ARCHIVED] Outdoor Warning Siren Test at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 12

CENTRAL JACKSON COUNTY, Mo. – The Central Jackson County Emergency Management Agency (CJCEMA) will conduct a test of the outdoor warning sirens at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 12, weather pending.  Please be advised that the sirens will sound twice to test both the primary and secondary dispatch systems.

Residents are encouraged to sign up for CJCEMA’s Nixle emergency notification & weather warning system by visiting www.nixle.com.  To learn how to better prepare yourself, family or business in the event of a disaster, visit www.preparemetrokc.org.

The CJCEMA is an emergency management agency consisting of the Central Jackson County Fire Protection District, the City of Blue Springs, Grain Valley, Lake Tapawingo and surrounding unincorporated areas. The EOC is located at the Central Jackson County Fire Protection District’s Training Facility and brings together representatives from Police, Fire, Public Works and Emergency Management agencies.
