Blue Springs, Mo. – The City of Blue Springs, Blue Springs Chamber of Commerce and the Blue Springs Economic Development Corporation invite entrepreneurs and business owners to participate in Blue Springs Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) events.
• Global Entrepreneurship Week Kick-off Celebration Monday, November 16 from 7:30-9 a.m., Blue Springs Chamber of Commerce, 1000 W Main Street. Entrepreneurs, small business owners, companies and anyone in between is invited to attend this networking event to kickoff Global Entrepreneurship Week in Blue Springs & the Kansas City Area. Come out, meet someone new and plan your week of celebrating local innovators and job creators.
• Power Hour Tuesday, November 17 from 8:30-9:30 a.m., CJC Training Facility, 4715 E US Highway 40, Blue Springs. The Power of Influence presented by Todd Long (Leadership Innovations). This Power Hour workshop will help you recognize the "power sources" of influence so you can cultivate an environment of inspiration. In addition, you will discover tactics to communicate and demonstrate the positive sources of power.
• How to Open and Grow Your Business in Blue Springs Tuesday, November 17 from 7-8:30 p.m., Mid-Continent Public Library, North Branch, 850 NW Hunter Drive, Blue Springs. Entrepreneurs and business owners are invited to attend this free expo to meet with professional coaches, discuss business plans, speak with financial institutions and connect with local resources.
Expo representatives currently include: City of Blue Springs; Blue Springs Chamber of Commerce; Blue Springs EDC; Grow Blue Springs; Downtown Alive!; Mid-Continent Public Library; Blue Springs Downtown Alive!; SCORE Kansas City and America’s Community Bank.
• Downtown Blue Springs Open House Thursday, November 19 from 5-8 p.m., Downtown Blue Springs. Downtown Alive! is partnering with home-based entrepreneurs for a Holiday Open House. Pre-registered home-based businesses will sell their products in a retail setting to test their market capabilities. This event is open to the public and we invite you to Buy Blue Springs!
