Blue Springs, Mo. – Join us for the inaugural Helping Residents Connect (H.R.C.) Fair on Sunday, October 4 from 2-5 p.m. at Vesper Hall, 400 N.W. Vesper Street, hosted by the Blue Springs Human Relations Commission.
This event was created to give residents the opportunity to connect with one another while learning about community resources and cultural offerings found in and around Blue Springs.
“This fair is our chance to form a relationship with the community we represent, and to give residents a way to learn more about us and the diverse people and services that make up their community,” said Commission Chair Kynette Campbell.
This event will feature entertainment and multiple community organizations will be on hand to provide information about resources available to residents. Attendees can create an “I Am Me Because” video with Project Equality and purchase refreshments from local food vendors.
Established in March of 2014, the commission is comprised of seven community leaders from diverse backgrounds appointed by the Mayor and City Council. Blue Springs Police Chief Wayne serves as their staff liaison. The aim of the Blue Springs Human Relations Commission is to: foster the improvement of human relations among and between citizens of all cultural backgrounds, so as to provide all individuals with an equitable opportunity to grow and participate to the best of their ability in our economic, educational, political, and social systems.
