Departments
Overview
The City of Blue Springs is organized into six departments, each managed by a professional, municipal Department Director who reports to the City Administrator or the Assistant City Administrator. Additionally, the City retains the services of a part-time City Attorney.
City Administration
The Administration Department provides direction and executive leadership for the operation of municipal services. Divisions include City Clerk and City Communications. Administration

Community Development
The primary purpose of the Community Development Department is to ensure community safety through building standards and improve quality of life. Divisions include Codes Administration, Planning and GIS. Community Development
