The Public Works Department is the foundation of the City. The Department effectively and efficiently develops and maintains Blue Springs’ infrastructure by providing essential services in the areas of:
  • Civil engineering
  • Maintenance of streets
  • Water and sewer utilities
  • Fleet management

Public Works is comprised of two divisions:
  • The Engineering Division duties include:
    • Infrastructure design
    • Construction administration
    • Inspections of subdivision streets, storm water and sanitary sewer infrustructure
    • Civil engineering services for the City
  • The Operations Division is comprised of four sub-divisions:
    • Water
    • Sanitary Sewer
    • Streets and Storm Sewer
    • Fleet Maintenance
