Potholes can be reported by calling the Pothole Hotline, (816) 228-0291 or going online to report the pothole through Service Point, the City’s online service request system.

The Streets Division has a goal of filling potholes within two business days, barring unforeseen circumstances and conditions.

3. How do I report a down or damaged street sign?

Down, damaged or missing street signs should be reported to the Streets Division of Public Works. They can be reported online using Service Point the City’s online service request system or you can call (816) 228 0195, Monday-Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm.

If the down, missing or damaged sign is a stop sign, it should be reported immediately as this is a public safety concern. Please contact the Streets Division at (816) 228 0195, Monday-Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm. If it is after business hours contact the Blue Springs Police Department non-emergency number, (816) 228-0150.

4. Who is responsible for repairing the sidewalk in front of my home or business?

Municipal code states property owners are responsible for maintaining sidewalks and keeping them free from snow and ice.

Section 406.060 of the Municipal Code states Homeowners/Homeowners Associations are responsible for maintaining the drainage way on their property.

Call the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR) at (816) 622-7000 or visit their website as they are the permitting authority and enforcing agency for land disturbance and erosion control.
