1. Can I obtain the total due for my Jackson County property taxes?

You can request an estimate or quote of your Jackson County property taxes by calling (816) 228-0131 or by visiting the Tax Department in City Hall, 903 W Main Street, Blue Springs.

2. Can I obtain a copy of my tax receipt at your office?

Copies of Jackson County tax receipts can be obtained by visiting the Tax Department in City Hall, 903 W Main Street, Blue Springs.

Duplicate tax receipts cost $1.00. If you are licensing a vehicle, the License Bureau should be able to verify your paid taxes as long as the taxes were paid by the due date of December 31, and the cost for the receipt may be waived.

3. I recently moved from another city/state. What information is required to obtain a personal property tax receipt for my vehicle or other personal property?

If you moved from out-of-state and need to license a vehicle/personal property that was purchased in another state, we will need to see your out-of-state registration or title to issue a tax waiver.

If you have moved here from out-of-state, but purchased a vehicle/personal property here in Missouri, we will need to see proof of out of state residency, other than a drivers license (e.g. out of state property tax receipt, paid utility bill, state tax return).

If you are a Missouri resident, but moved from another county, we need to see a current paid tax receipt from the county you previously lived in.

If you are moving to Blue Springs from another city within Jackson County you will need to update your mailing address to insure you receive future mailings.

Copies of your paid Jackson County tax receipt are available from the Tax Department in City Hall. Each receipt costs $1.00.

4. How do I obtain a City of Blue Springs Liquor Identification Card?

Liquor Identifications Cards are issued by the Records Unit of the Blue Springs Police Department, located at 1100 SW Smith Street. For more information please call the Records Unit at (816) 228-0160.

Liquor Identifications Cards are required for all persons employed in the retail sale, dispensation, service or delivery of intoxicating liquor. The only exception is for persons employed solely as a cashier on a by-the-drink premises where substantial quantities of food are sold. See Municipal Code Chapter 6 Section 600.350.
