1. What type of check is needed to obtain a license?

A cashiers check, money order, and cash are all accepted means of payment. Corporation checks are not accepted.

2. If I have not paid taxes in the City before how do I get proof to obtain a license?

You can obtain a tax waiver from the Tax Department located within City Hall.

3. If I change the name of my business or sell the business can the license be transferred?

No, you will need to go through the process to obtain a new license.

4. What or who is the Managing Agent?

This is the applicant; usually this is the owner or manager that will run the business.

5. Must the Managing Agent reside in Missouri?

Yes.

6. What do I do if I want to upgrade or change my license?

Notify the Revenue Collections Department via letter of your desire to change your license and/or upgrade your license. At that time the Revenue Collections Department will notify you of the correct action that must be taken.

7. What is the difference between a 6-day and 7-day license?

A 6-day liquor license is for weekdays only; liquor cannot be sold on Sundays. A 7-day liquor license is for everyday and must be marked under Sunday sales ($300.00) and weekday sales ($450.00). The total amount due can be combined on one check.
