Meet Devin! Devin Wilson, a nine year veteran of the City of Blue Springs Public Works Department was the highest scoring operator during the City's annual Snow Plow training in November 2021.

Q: How long have you worked for the City of Blue Springs?  

A: I’ve worked for the City of Blue Springs off and on for nine years. I started in the street division under asphalt repair and maintenance. Almost a year ago I made the switch to concrete.  

Q: Tell us a little about what you do each day.

A: I assist in the setup of work zones for all divisions and help make and maintain City signs and repair and replace City sidewalks and curbs. When snow is in the forecast I help maintain and prepare snow equipment for time of use and plow the streets
.  
Q: What is the best part of your job? 

A: It’s fast paced and involves physical labor.  

Q: Tell us about a time you felt proud to serve the residents Blue Springs? 

A: The times that I feel most proud to serve the residents of Blue Springs is during snow removal. I really feel it helps the overall safety of the community.  

Q: Tell us one interesting fact about yourself.

A: I’m always willing to learn new things and I am a fast learner.
