BLUE SPRINGS, MO – The City’s street maintenance program continues to make progress in improving roadways throughout the community. Starting July 8 and continuing through July 11, SW Parkwood Drive from Highway 7 to SW 2nd Terrace is scheduled to be closed for reconstruction. Following the completion of Parkwood, Lake Village Boulevard will be closed from Moreland School Road to Brandywine Circle. The daytime closure will last one week. Message boards will be placed to help remind residents of the upcoming construction and detours will guide motorists around the road closures.
Crews will be working on the following areas requiring closures:
- July 8 and 11 – SW Parkwood Drive from Highway 7 to SW 2nd Terrace
- July 12 - 19 – Lake Village Boulevard from Moreland School Road to Brandywine Circle
All work is weather dependent.
“We have an aggressive schedule to reconstruct roads after the prolonged rainy period this spring. We ask that drivers be patient and use caution when in or near work zones,” Director of Public Works Chris Sandie said.
Blue Springs allocated $6.8 million dollars to road repairs in the 2021-22 fiscal year.
