[ARCHIVED] Road Reconstruction Beginning the Week of June 20

Road reconstruction beginning the week of June 20, 2022

BLUE SPRINGS, MO – The City’s street maintenance program continues to make progress in improving roadways throughout the community. Starting June 20, three streets are scheduled to be closed for reconstruction.  Message boards will be placed to help remind residents of the upcoming construction and detours will guide motorists around the road closures.

Crews will be working on the following areas requiring closures:

June 20 and 21 - South Avenue from Highway 7 to SW 10th Street

June 22 and 23 - NW 3rd Street from R. D. Mize Road to NW Summit Street

June 24 and 27 - NW 12th and Knox streets will be closed.

All work is weather dependent.

“We have an aggressive schedule to reconstruct roads after the prolonged rainy period this spring.  We ask that drivers be patient and use caution when in or near work zones,” Director of Public Works Chris Sandie said.

Blue Springs allocated $6.8 million dollars to road repairs in the 2021-22 fiscal year.
