Join the Blue Springs Police Department in celebrating National Night Out Against Crime from 5:30-8 p.m., on Tuesday, October 5, 2021. This free community event for all ages will be held in the municipal parking lot at 11th and Smith streets in downtown Blue Springs. NNO brings together residents, law enforcement agencies, civic groups, businesses, neighborhood organizations and local officials for an evening focused on crime prevention and safety.

This FREE celebratory block party will feature public safety and law enforcement demonstrations, displays and vehicles from the Blue Springs Police Department, Central Jackson County Fire Protection District, and other local public safety agencies. Visitors can also enjoy free hay rides through Downtown Blue Springs from 5:30-7:30 p.m., free food, live entertainment, and more!

“National Night Out is an important step to strengthening the crime prevention partnership between police, residents and the community at large,” said Mayor Carson Ross. “This free event gives residents the opportunity to meet Blue Springs officers and civilians working to keep our community safe, and we’re sending a message to criminals letting them know that Blue Springs’ neighborhoods are organized and fighting back to prevent crime in our community.”

“National Night Out is an important outreach event that allows our officers to personally interact with our community,” said National Night Out Coordinator Doug Heishman of the Blue Springs Police Department. “It’s the perfect family outing with information about crime prevention, health and safety, as well as free food, games, prizes, live entertainment and much more.”
