The City of Blue Springs is alerting motorists that NE R.D. Mize Road will be closed for a full-depth asphalt removal and replacement between NE Napoleon Drive and NE Adams Dairy Parkway. This project is anticipated to take five days to complete and will start at 7 a.m. on Sept. 23, 2020, weather permitting.
There will be no through traffic allowed during this time. Please use NE Sunnyside School Road and NE Coronado Drive as a detour route.
The contractor will be removing and replacing a large section of the asphalt-base portion of the roadway during this time. The remaining roadway asphalt surface (the top 2 inches) will be milled and overlayed.
NE Napoleon Drive and Walmart’s driveway will remain open, although motorists should expect some delays.
For both the safety of construction workers and drivers, we urge motorists to be cautious in work zones and watch for workers.
