On Wednesday, July 15, District 2 Councilmembers Kent Edmondson and Chris Lievsay will host a Facebook Live Town Hall meeting at Sandy’s Restaurant, 1255 SW 7 Hwy. The Town Hall will begin 6 p.m. in the banquet room where community members will have the opportunity to talk with the councilmembers about city government issues over Facebook Live or in person. The councilmembers will field questions from residents in the audience and via Facebook and facilitate dialog about district priorities.
“We encourage residents to attend in person or catch the meeting live on the City’s Facebook page,” said Councilmember Chris Lievsay. “We invite all Council District 2 residents or business owners to attend and bring their questions, concerns and ideas about our district.”
“Town Hall meetings are a great way for elected officials to get out there, talk with residents in a one-on-one format and hear their thoughts, concerns and priorities,” said Councilmember Kent Edmondson. “We hope to create a two-way conversation about important issues in our district and help to make Blue Springs the best community it can be.”
Occupancy limits, social distancing and mask requirements in place by Jackson County Health Department will be enforced.
Residents can view the event live on the City’s Facebook page. For more information about the District 2 town hall meeting, email Councilmemer Kent Edmondson at kedmondson@bluespringsgov.com or Councilmember Chris Lievsay at clievsay@bluespringsgov.com
