Effective Tuesday, March 17, all city facilities including City Hall and the Public Safety Building will be closed to the public until April 6. This is a precaution to protect our residents and employees and in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control recommendations to reduce the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

City employees will continue to conduct City business and work to provide our residents with City services. City phones will still be active and we encourage residents to call 816-228-0110 or use our website www.bluespringsgov.com to determine the appropriate email or phone number to contact each department directly.

Public Safety staff will continue to perform normal operations, but the Police Department offices will be closed to the public. Call 911 for emergencies and (816) 225-0151 for non-emergency police services.

Blue Springs Water Services and Municipal Court customers can access the City’s online payment portal 24 hours a day, seven days a week via the City’s website: www.bluespringsgov.com.  Utility customers may also utilize the pay-by-phone option free of charge by calling (816) 228-0220, or utilize the payment drop box located on the north wall of City Hall off 10th Street near the employee entrance.

Additionally, the City understands water is critical to the health and safety of our residents and is ensuring Utility customers have uninterrupted access to water and sewer utility services. Therefore, the City has decided to suspend the implementation of Water/Sewer Utility shut-offs for nonpayment during this time.

All public meetings beginning Tuesday, March 17 to Monday April 6 are canceled or postponed until further notice.

This is a rapidly changing situation and the City is monitoring it closely and continuously communicating with other government and health agencies. We will continue to provide updates and take additional measures as needed for the safety of our residents and employees as the situation warrants.

Please visit our City’s website at www.bluespringsgov.com/COVID19 for all COVID-19-related updates and information.
