In an effort to continue to protect our residents and staff and reduce the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), City of Blue Springs officials have made the decision to close the Fieldhouse effective Monday March 16 and temporarily discontinue all recreation programs.

If the COVID-19 situation improves, the City plans reopen the Fieldhouse on Monday, April 6. Members will be notified via email and social media platforms should anything change. Parks staff will notify members how they will be compensated for this disruption in service soon.

Adams Pointe Golf Course will continue to remain open for play only. However, no banquet facilities will be offered for the time-being. At this time, the City feels golf course provides a low risk due to the openness of the course as players are outdoors in wide open space with groups of two or four.

This is a rapidly changing situation and the City is monitoring it closely and continuously communicating with other government and health agencies. We will continue to provide updates and take additional measures as needed for the safety of our residents and employees as the situation warrants.

Previous updates and municipal closures can be found here.
