Blue Springs, Mo. – The City of Blue Springs is alerting motorists that due to the reconstruction project, NE Roanoke Drive, from NE Falcon Wood Drive to NE Porter Road, will be closed to through traffic beginning Monday, October 21, 2019 for approximately 8-10 weeks. For both the safety of construction workers and drivers, we urge motorists to be cautious in work zones and watch for workers.
This project will widen this portion of NE Roanoke Drive from a 20-foot wide country road to a 36-foot wide collector street and include curb, gutters, storm sewers and sidewalks. The improvements will substantially increase the safety of drivers on the road and support continued development and growth. The project is expected to be complete by spring/summer 2020, weather permitting.
