[ARCHIVED] City of Blue Springs to host Blood Drive with Community Blood Center

BLUE SPRINGS, MO. – The City of Blue Springs in partnership with the Community Blood Center will be hosting a community blood drive on Monday, July 2, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Journagan Family Community Room of the Howard L. Brown Public Safety Building, 1100 SW Smith Street.

Each presenting donor will receive a pair of Royals tickets. To make an appointment online, visit esavealifenow.org, click “Schedule and Appointment,” and enter the code” bluesprings.

The requirements to donate blood are few. You must be in good health, weigh a minimum of 115 pounds and be at least 17 years of age (16 yrs. with parental consent). It is also important to drink plenty of fluids and eat a good meal prior to your blood donation, which will take less than an hour.
