Blue Springs, Mo. – The City of Blue Springs, Blue Springs Chamber of Commerce and the Blue Springs Downtown Alive! invite entrepreneurs and business owners to participate in Blue Springs Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) events.
- Global Entrepreneurship Week Kick-off Celebration Monday, November 13 from 7:30-9:30 a.m., Blue Springs Chamber of Commerce, 1000 W Main Street. This event will feature refreshments from local, Blue Springs businesses including Simply Frosted, Inklings’ Books & Coffee Shoppe and Middle Ground Coffee Co. Entrepreneurs, small business owners, companies and anyone in between is invited to attend this networking event to kickoff Global Entrepreneurship Week in Blue Springs & the Kansas City Area. Come out, meet someone new and plan your week of celebrating local innovators and job creators.
- Power Hour Tuesday, November 14 from 8:30-9:30 a.m., Blue Springs Chamber of Commerce, 1000 W Main Street. Jody Bowers from Encore Web Works will be discussing the importance of website ADA Compliance for small businesses.
- Wine Etiquette & Tasting Wednesday, Nov. 15 from 5-7 p.m., Blue Springs Chamber of Commerce, 1000 W Main Street. Business people are judged by just about everything they do, and an ability to order and serve wine with confidence during a business dinner is a great networking skill. Dr. Emmanuel Ngomsi of All World Languages and Cultures, Inc., will instruct class participants on wine etiquette, wine selection and meal pairing. Class is $25 per person and includes wine samples — register with the Blue Springs Chamber of Commerce.
- Downtown Blue Springs Open House Thursday, November 16 from 5-8 p.m., Downtown Blue Springs. Downtown Alive! is partnering with home-based entrepreneurs for a Holiday Open House. Pre-registered home-based businesses will sell their products in a retail setting to test their market capabilities. This event is open to the public and we invite you to Buy Blue Springs!
