Blue Springs, Mo. – Human Relations Commission Chair Kynette Campbell and Vice Chair Gino Bueno were recognized by the Missouri Municipal League at their Civic Leadership Award Banquet at Adams Pointe Conference Center.
This yearly banquet is an opportunity for West Gate communities to recognize the outstanding contributions of business and civic leaders in developing stronger cities. Each mayor selected outstanding civic leaders in his or her community and these individuals were later presented with a certificate of appreciation. “It was my pleasure to host such a distinguished event in Blue Springs,” said Mayor Carson Ross “I sincerely appreciate the passion and dedication of Kynette and Gino through their service on the Human Relations Commission.”
Under the direction of Campell and Bueno’s leadership, the Human Relations Commission has held various meetings to encourage cooperation among community groups and organizations, law enforcement agencies, school districts, and other community educational institutions. Board members have also held a block party, and community fair for residents as well as hosting an open dialogue discussion with Blue Springs Police Officers about continuing to build a strong relationship with community members.
