[ARCHIVED] Outdoor Warning Siren Test Rescheduled to Wednesday, October 8

CENTRAL JACKSON COUNTY, Mo. – Due to inclement weather, the Central Jackson County Emergency Management Agency (CJCEMA) has rescheduled the testing of the outdoor warning sirens to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 8, weather pending.

Please make note of the new time – CJCEMA has adopted the regional testing time of 11 a.m. to be consistent with our surrounding communities.

Residents are encouraged to sign up for CJCEMA’s CodeRED emergency notification & weather warning system by visiting www.cjcema.org/code-red.html. To learn how to better prepare yourself, family or business in the event of a disaster, visit www.preparemetrokc.org.

The CJCEMA is an emergency management agency consisting of the Central Jackson County Fire Protection District, the City of Blue Springs, Grain Valley, Lake Tapawingo and surrounding unincorporated areas. The EOC is located at the Central Jackson County Fire Protection District’s Training Facility and brings together representatives from Police, Fire, Public Works and Emergency Management agencies.
