BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. – Current accumulation in Blue Springs is estimated at 1.75 inches with snow drifts over 4 inches deep. Snow crews are currently in Phase I with 17 trucks clearing snow and ice from heavily traveled and hilly roadways and spreading deicing chemicals.
The National Weather Service forecasts that the snow should begin to taper off at 9 a.m. with winds gusting as high as 50 mph.
A primary resident concern is the amount of snow that accumulates at the end of driveways after crews have completed the street plowing process. We apologize for the inconvenience, but the windrows are an unavoidable part of the snow removal process.
Residents can call the 24-hour snow removal hotline at (816) 228-0295 to learn the latest information on the City’s snow removal process.
