Introduction to Atlatl

Use of the atlatl is an ancient hunting method that preceded the bow and arrow.  Found in most parts of the world, it was one of mankind's first mechanical inventions, designed to help man hunt large game.

Join Parks & Recreation staff for an introduction to the atlatl and try your hand at this ancient hunting method!  Darts used are field darts and the tips have been blunted for the safety of all participants.

Thursday, September 8  6:30-7:30 p.m.
Tuesday, October 4  6:30-7:30 p.m.

We'll meet at the shelter house.

This class is recommended for ages 7 and older.

Class size is limited.  Don't assume we'll have a spot for you on the day of the class!  Registration is due 2 days prior to each class.  Register early to secure your spot!
