2016 Temporary Art Exhibit - Firefighter Spirit

For 15 years, the Blue Springs Public Art Commission has worked diligently with the community to infuse our city with art. This year’s public art theme is ‘Firefighter Spirit’ and four artists were selected to display artwork at Central Jackson County Fire Protection District (CJCFPD) stations.

The winner of the 2016 People’s Choice Survey was artist Brandon Crandall of Kirksville, Missouri for his piece “Selfless”. This piece was selected by
Central Jackson County Fire Protection District to remain in Blue Springs on permanent display at Station #3.

Temporary public art pieces chosen for permanent display are purchased with private money raised using the fundraising efforts headed by the Public
Art Commission and friends of public art.
