Major Development

Highway 7 & 40

The Highway 7 and 40 intersection has begun a radical transformation with reinvestment and new construction on all four corners. Many of these projects began construction in 2016 and the remaining developments are set to open in 2017. Once complete, these projects will represent over
$24 million dollars of reinvestment into the Highway 7 and 40 corridor.

St. Luke's Specialty Clinic

Crews will soon complete the sheet rocking and will then begin installing an exterior brick façade to the building on the southeast corner or Adams Dairy Parkway and R D Mize Road. Once complete, the clinic will feature primary care providers, imaging and lab areas along with specialists who can address particular care needs. The building will be designed to expand as needed; the target date for completion is mid-2017.

Core Medical Center

Core Medical Center

In late 2015 Core Medical Center, formally known as Blue Springs Chiropractic Health Center, underwent facility improvements to accommodate the expansion of services offered. After improvements, the facility measures 4,000 square feet; doubling their original size. This father and son Chiropractic office has been a part of the Blue Springs community for over 40 years and continues to offer integrative care & physical medicine. The facility plans to expand again in early 2017 with the addition of another nurse practitioner or medical doctor.

This new business located at 805 W Main offers ladies apparel and accessories with new items arriving each
week. Customers can enjoy the unique combination of a boutique and the option of visiting a professional hairstylist all in one location.
Manicure services may become available in early 2017.

Quick Trip

Quick Trip (QT) is coming to the northwest corner of US 40 HWY and SW 7 HWY with an anticipated fall 2016 opening. They have proposed to develop a 5,858 square foot convenience store and 24 pump gas station. This layout is similar to the QT located along Little Blue Parkway, north of I-70 and the QT at the intersection of US 40 Highway and Lee’s Summit Road in Independence.

This promises to be a convenient location for Blue Springs residents and commuters!


Parkway Estates

New homes continue to be constructed in the popular Parkway Estates located in southern Blue Springs. There arecurrently 98 active building permits in this development with more homes slated for construction in 2017.
