Highway 7 & 40
IN late 2016 the Highway 7 and 40 intersection began a radical transformation with reinvestment and new construction on all four corners. Once complete, these projects will represent over $24 million dollars of reinvestment into the Highway 7 and 40 corridor.
White Oak Marketplace Update
Construction continues in the White Oak Marketplace as crews fill framing for the new Price Chopper and erect the framing for future Marketplace tenants.
To date Johnny’s Tavern, Pacific Dental Services and First Watch restaurant have announced an interest in opening their doors in the location.
Phase II and III include a proposed senior residential community for
seniors and several retail or restaurant sites.
Commercial & Retail Development
St. Luke's Specialty Clinic
The 36,00-square-foot Saint Luke's Multispecialty clinic is located on the southeast corner of Adams Dairy Parkway and R D Mize Road and is slated to open in July 2017.
Kneaders Bakery & Cafe
Construction is currently underway on a new Kneaders Bakery & Cafe at the corner of NE Coronado Drive and Adams Dairy Parkway in front of the Home Depot.
Construction will soon begin on several improvements and construction phases for Colonial Gardens, aimed at growing the current nursery and garden center into an agritourism destination. Click here to see the video.
New homes continue to be constructed in the popular Parkway Estates located in southern Blue Springs. There are currently 98 active building permits in this development with more homes slated for construction in 2017.
This area is an L-shaped development and is both north and west of the Colonial Gardens. Crews have started framing the outer sidewalk and shovels are in the ground. Once complete, it will feature 33 buildings for 66 total units.
Construction on this residential development is moving along as we enter the height of the construction season. An adjacent proposed commercial
development with a Sunfresh Market is working through the City’s planning process.
